  • Should you cancel within 10 business days of the class start date, Directions Training will invoice you your daily rate to cover replacement expenses. Should Directions cancel on you within 10 business days, we will pay you the agreed-upon daily rate.

Directions’ primary delivery platforms are Zoom and Microsoft Teams. You will be notified prior to the class about which platform you will be using.

We understand the challenges labs can bring to certain classes, therefore, it’s important to stay informed about known issues so you can set the right expectations with your students. Directions’ dedicated lab providers are Learn on Demand (LOD) and GoDeploy. We use whichever provider has the most up to date labs for the course you are teaching.

  • Click Here to watch an overview of LOD tips/best practices.
  • Click Here to watch an overview of GoDeploy tips/best practices.
  • Click Here to review our Lab Issues doc. that references past support tickets so you can prepare for class and set expectations.
  • You must represent yourself as an instructor for Directions Training, so we have a unified brand with our clients.
  • Note: Please use the Directions email alias we created for you.
    • This is especially important if you are delivering a class on Teams because your Directions account is licensed for Teams use. You will not be able to record your class if you don’t use your licensed Directions account and recording your class is mandatory. Your class Teams invitation will also be sent to your Directions email alias. If you have misplaced your credentials or need assistance, please email [email protected].
  • Use the Directions class intro slides posted here to introduce yourself, your credentials, and Directions Training. If you are delivering a Microsoft Official Course (MOC), you are welcome to transition into the MOC slides after your introduction. In some cases, we are asked to use a client-branded slide deck, and, in those situations, you will use the client deck vs. Directions’ deck.
  • Proof any slides you will be using for consistency and grammar.
  • All classes need to be recorded. Whether we distribute the recording to our students is dependent on a few variables.
    • Microsoft Technical Classes
      • A copy of the recording is distributed to each student if the class is delivered via Zoom because we can authenticate by user. The recording will be housed in LOD for 6 months. Users will access the recording using their LOD credentials.
      • If your class is delivered via Teams, please record for quality control purposes, however, the recording will not be distributed to each student because we have no way to authenticate by user.
    • Microsoft End User Classes
      • Please record all classes for quality control purposes. A copy of the recording will only be distributed if the client has purchased the recording. Directions will notify you about this prior to class.
        • If a client purchased the recording and:
          • You are teaching via Zoom; users will access the recording using their LOD credentials.
          • You are teaching via Teams; users will receive the recording via OneDrive after class.

Note: Please use the disclaimer slide in the slide deck that is provided by Directions so students know their session will be recorded.

  • Taking attendance is a requirement for every class. Please designate the first 5 minutes to have students sign-in on the first day of class. Students will sign-in at: https://sign-in.directions.training/.

Note: We will have a dedicated sign-in sheet for certain projects that span over a 2-week timeframe. You will be informed prior to class if you should send your students to a dedicated sign-in sheet page or our standard page which we have included above.

  • Review all materials and test all technology at least 24 business hours before training
  • Please arrive 30 minutes early to setup and test your equipment

    • Pay close attention to the class time/time zone in your contract
  • For all MOC classes — Prior to teaching any content, please walk the students through redeeming their MOC.
  • For questions regarding labs, virtual connection issues (Zoom or Teams), courseware and Azure passes, please email: [email protected].
  • For logistical questions, please email [email protected].
  • We want our students to feel supported even after class. Please provide the alias below for any questions or challenges and we will filter all inquiries to the appropriate resource: [email protected].
  • In order to address any student challenges/issues as soon as possible, we implemented a mid-class survey in addition to the post-class survey that is completed at the end of class. Here is the URL to distribute for the mid-class survey: https://midsurvey.directionstraining.com/.
  • Mid-class survey
    • For 2-day classes, please ask your students to complete the survey on the morning of Day 2.
    • For 3-day classes, please ask your students to complete the survey on the morning of Day 2.
    • For 4-day classes, please ask your students to complete the survey on the morning of Day 3.
    • For 5-day classes, please ask your students to complete the survey on the morning of Day 3.

Post-Class Survey

  • Distributing the MTM survey is a requirement for every class. To prevent students from leaving early without completing our survey, please ask students to complete the survey 30 minutes before class ends. Here is the URL to distribute: https://survey.directionstraining.com/.

Note: You are responsible for the entire class experience. Throughout the week, please check-in with your students to see if there’s anything you can do to improve their experience so at the end of class, they feel confident giving you a 5 out of 5.

  • We want to hear from you about any challenges and successes with students, labs and courseware. Please email your feedback to [email protected].
  • Please do not share any MOC PPT slides with your students. Your MCT certification can be suspended for this.
  • Follow-Up Courses
    • Please make sure you understand the student’s goals and expectations so at the end of class you can inform them about the next class that leads to certification or enhances their skill set.
